As Lily Tomlin has said, "I'm afraid that no matter how cynical I become, it won't be enough."
I just read this at CNN.com. The bottom line is that Shaw Group Inc. and Halliburton Co. (subsidiary Kellogg Brown and Root) have been awarded the first disaster relief and reconstruction contracts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
The critics of FEMA and the Administration have been saying that the delay in sending help was due to the race and/or economic standing of the victims. I now believe that the delay was to increase revenues for the Shaw Group and Halliburton.
